Good Causes & Charities

Littlewoods Gaming has a long-standing history of support for charitable initiatives and good causes.

Since 1975, following agreements with the Government, Littlewoods Gaming has generated good cause payments of £282.7m, through Littlewoods Football Pools for the Football Foundation (formerly the Football Trust). In addition Littlewoods Gaming was instrumental in the creation of the Foundation for Sport and the Arts, and Littlewoods Football Pools has generated funds of over £282.7m for this good cause, to date.

These monies have assisted a wide variety of projects, from the re-development of national sporting stadia, and the funding of acclaimed establishments such as RADA, to the provision of equipment, instruments, transport and materials for amateur and voluntary groups and individuals, including the amputee open golf championship, able and disabled musicians’ workshops and football supporters’ clubs.

Littlewoods Gaming is a founder contributor and continues to take an active interest in the Responsibility in Gambling Trust.

Littlewoods Gaming are sponsors of the Littlewoods Gaming Liverpool and District Cricket Competition in 2003, 2004 and 2005.

Littlewoods Gaming are the 2005 sponsors of the annual charity event Alternative Ascot, held at Aintree Racecourse, raising much needed funds for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. (Alder Hey Hospital located in Liverpool is the largest children’s hospital in Western Europe).
